Design

Little Happy Stacks was an arcade sequel of the original Little Happy strategy/adventure title. In the original game, the protagonist Little Happy had tripped in Lollyland and fallen to the bottom of a deep ravine.

The aim in Little Happy Stacks was to build a marshmallow tower as tall as possible. Physics simulation meant that the tower would waver back and forth if not constructed carefully.

Various obstacles of increasing intensity were introduced at random as the tower grew. These included dragons, spikes, bats, minecarts, spiderwebs, and earthquakes.

Production

Little Happy Stacks was built using the custom in-house game engine that had been developed for the original Little Happy title. It made use of the same graphical assets and theming as the original game, with the addition of some new characters and mechanics. Music was taken from the original Little Happy soundtrack.

Little Happy Stacks was first published in 2015 and later retired in 2020.
