When designing a modular board game with random board configuration between rounds, it can be difficult to decide on the proportions of tile types.
This Board Game Simulator was created to simulate a random draw of tiles based on given proportion parameters. It then simulates in-game events that would occur if that configuration was played.
The Board Game Simulator runs batches of hundreds of simulations and then presents a statistical analysis of the results, for example "minimum number of turns until a game-ending event". Optimising these outcomes improves playability.
